International Day of Peace (IDP) is observed around the world on 21 September, this year the students of Barataria North Secondary made banners in honour of our Peace\/No Violence walk that was held to observe the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We started about 9 a.m. and finished by 10 a.m. It was a short walk, and it was very close to our school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers, students and parents left through the back of the school on Third Avenue &#8230;we walked to 8th Street went across to Sixth Avenue just past St. George\u2019s College, and then walked back to the front of the school via George Bailey Drive<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hope was to get the school \/ children to do something positive and break that negative image that our school holds in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also hoped to get our children to own the neighbourhood by doing something positive in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure
