Peace/No Violence Walk 2023.

Each year the International Day of Peace (IDP) is observed around the world on 21 September, this year the students of Barataria North Secondary made banners in honour of our Peace/No Violence walk that was held to observe the day.

We started about 9 a.m. and finished by 10 a.m. It was a short walk, and it was very close to our school.

Teachers, students and parents left through the back of the school on Third Avenue …we walked to 8th Street went across to Sixth Avenue just past St. George’s College, and then walked back to the front of the school via George Bailey Drive

The hope was to get the school / children to do something positive and break that negative image that our school holds in the area.

We also hoped to get our children to own the neighbourhood by doing something positive in it.
